Please note:
You CANNOT use this on-line form to report:
Any type of violent crime, including: personal assault, kidnapping, robbery, etc.
Any type of sex crime, including: rape, sexual assault, etc.
Any type of stolen vehicle, including: trucks, cars, trailers, motorcycles, etc.
Any Lost or Stolen Plates
Any type of traffic accident, whether there was an injury or not.
Any type of court order violation such as violation of restraining order, violation of child custody order, etc.
Any crime involving a weapon.
Any crimes that are Domestic Related
Any crimes involving prescription medication
Aggressive driving
Breaking and entering your home or business, completed or attempted
Larceny – The following property CANNOT be reported online:
Property valued over $1,000.00
Credit card or debit card
Firearms, rifles or shotguns
Motor vehicle
Public record, writing, or instrument kept, filed or deposited with or in the keeping of any public office or public servant
Secret scientific material
Property physically taken from another person
Property obtained by extortion
Scroll, religious vestment, a vessel, an item comprising a display of religious symbols
An access device to unlawfully obtain telephone service
Anhydrous ammonia or liquefied ammonia gas
Theft or loss of a firearm
Hate or Bias Crimes

Incidents submitted on-line are reviewed to insure that a crime has been committed before a report number is assigned. If it is determined that a crime has not been committed, a report number will not be assigned.
All cases filed using the Citizens Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed.
Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.
Filing a false police report is a crime. Falsely reporting an incident is punishable as a class A misdemeanor pursuant to Section 240.50 of the Penal Law of the State of New York.
